A total of 34 sub-Saharans, 30 men and four women, were intercepted yesterday about 47 miles from the popular alternative holiday destination of Cabo de Gata, although having inadvertently forgotten to bring any travel or other documents, their stay will be a short one.
Their boat was spotted by a FRONTEX (Frontières extérieures) plane about 47 nautical miles off Cabo de Gata and was intercepted by vessels of the Marine Rescue Service and Guardia Civil.
The passengers were assisted by the Red Cross. All were in apparent good health after their fruitless journey.
