Five months after the switch from analogue TV to the new TDT, there are still areas in the Axarquia where the signal is non-existent or, at best, intermittent, one of these areas being the village of Maro.
More than 100 residents in Nerja, mostly from Maro, have registered complaints with the Council about the situation as many could not even watch Spain triumph in the World Cup due to bad reception.
The Council produced a complaints form which, once completed, is forwarded to the relevant authority, in this case the Ministry of Industry and Innovation.
The Council has also passed a motion requesting the Ministry of Industry and Innovation to address the situation and ensure that the residents of Maro are able to properly receive all the available digital television signals. Good luck on that one.
