Work is being carried out on the old public library building in Alhaurín el Grande ready for its new occupants, the Municipal School of Music.
The building, which until recently housed the Public Library, is being renovated at a cost of €251,797 by the company Ingenop. The project is being financed by the Central Government.
The building occupies a total area of 547 square metres. The ground floor will have five rooms for local associations and a multi-purpose room for those groups not needing a permanent location.
The first floor will be exclusively for the Municipal School of Music and will have four classrooms, an auditorium and an administrative area.
The completion period for the project is six months.
