An ongoing investigation by the Guardia Civil in Ronda has led to the another seizure of marijuana plants, this time in the village of La Atalaya in the municipality of Cañete la Real.
The plants: 5 large, 25 medium and 41 small, are valued at €8,000 and the owner of the house where the plants were found has been arrested and charged with the alleged crimes of cultivating, processing and trafficking of drugs.
The plants were being grown in an annex to the house and were covered with a black canopy.
Meanwhile, in Gaucín, a man was arrested after seven plants, some over one metre high, were found at his home. He has also been charged with the alleged crimes of cultivating, processing and trafficking of drugs.
Last week, the Guardia Civil in Ronda raided four marijuana plantations in Arriate, seizing 22 plants and arresting three people.
