Buying clothes, or even shoes, can be a nightmare with virtually each country having its own set of measurements. But not only do you have to contend with different ‘standard’ measurements, you also get variations within that standard.
One day, a pair of size 41 shoes fit like a glove, the next day, and with a different manufacturer, you can’t get your big toe in and have to go to a size 43 for any sort of comfort. There is just no possibility of ordering, or sending someone, for a pair of size X shoes in the knowledge that they’ll fit.
Add to that the fact that the manufacturer could also be telling porkies. This survey was done in the USA, but presumably the same happens everywhere. Would explain a lot!…Are Your Pants Lying to You?…
