Only one incident has so far been reported in Nerja on ‘strike day’, presumably related to the industrial action, and that was early on Wednesday morning when municipal employees turning up for work discovered that the five doors to the Town Hall had been glued shut.
A locksmith was called and the five locks were changed, allowing the workers to enter and carry out their duties.
According to the Council, only two or three employees out of a total workforce of 300 answered the strike call.
One would have thought that they would know if it was two or three, not exactly huge numbers to deal with.
