A total of 114 immigrants of the illegal variety were rescued off the coasts of Almeria and Motril, Granada province, last night.
In Almeria, three boats were intercepted with 59 Algerian immigrants, including two women and a baby, on board.
In Motril, a ten metre long boat carrying 55 Moroccan immigrants was intercepted after being spotted by a coastguard plane and the passengers were taken to Motril port. The passengers included two pregnant women.
All were generally in good health although some showed signs of hypothermia and dehydration.
