Car sales for September were 56,595 units according to the manufacturers’ (Anfac) and sellers association (Ganvam), down 26.9% on the corresponding month last year.
The figures put sales at the 1995 level and orders for new cars have plummeted by as much as 50%, which means a very negative outlook for the next few months.
So fa this year, overall car and SUV sales are up by 16.3% when compared to 2009.
