Three climbers, two of them injured, have been rescued from the Poqueira area in the Alpujarra mountains in Granada province.
The wife of one of the climbers notified the Guardia Civil that her husband and two other men had gone mountaineering in the Alpujarras were missing and members of the Mountain Rescue Service (SEREIM) and SEPRONA officers launched a search.
The husband was found safe and well but the other two climbers had become trapped in ravines and both had suffered injuries, one to the shoulder and the other to the groin.
The two men were airlifted out by helicopter to the Centre for Forest Protection where an ambulance was waiting.
