The Minister for Industry, Tourism and Trade, Miguel Sebastián, is due to lay the foundation stone for the future Parador de Turismo ‘Hotel Atlántico’ in Cádiz.
The ceremony, to be held around noon on the promenade of the old Parador, will also be attended by the Mayor of Cádiz, Teófila Martínez, and the president of the Paradores de Turismo, Miguel Martínez.
The contract, worth €30 million, has been awarded to the company Acciona who have 16 months to complete the construction. It will then be furnished and is expected to be open for business in 2012.
The new Parador Hotel Atlántico will have 124 spacious rooms, 1,000 square metres of meeting rooms, a large swimming pool with sea views and the best kitchen in the parador network.
