Hilton Worldwide has reached an agreement with the owners of the luxury hotel-hacienda ‘La Boticaria’ in Alcalá de Guadaíra, Sevilla, to bring it under the Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts banner.
Hilton Worldwide started operating the hotel at the beginning of November and the plan is to convert it to the Waldorf Astoria brand at the beginning of 2011.
The hotel, which played host to Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi on his visit to Spain, has 127 rooms, an equestrian centre with thoroughbred horses, a carriage museum, a 2,250 square metre luxury spa and a convention centre.
The hotel is located at km2.5 on the road between Alcalá de Guadaíra and Utrera.
