Almost five years after submitting the preliminary PGOU (General Plan), the Council could be about to initially approve the new document. The PGOU currently in force dates back to 2000.
The new document apparently complies with the various administrative requirements of the Ministry of Environment as well as conforming to the LOUA and POTAX.
However, and it remains to be seen whether this causes problems, the area known as La Coladilla, the proposed site for a golf course, is listed as urban land whereas the Junta de Andalucia has already declared it to be protected land and therefore not for development.
