The rail network operator RENFE, in conjunction with the French operator SNCF, are set to start the first Barcelona-Paris AVE high-speed train service on December 19th 2010.
Tickets go on sale as from November 13th at €130.90, although there are all sorts of reductions and promotions available which could bring the price down to €63.30.
There will be two trains each day in each direction: From Barcelona at 09:00 and 13:00 and from Paris Gare de Lyon at 07:20 and 15:20.
The travelling time will be 7 hours and 25 minutes, which is 1 hour 15 minutes less than the current journey time.
The trains will stop at Girona, Perpignan, Narbonne, Montpellier and Nimes and until 2012 there will be a change of trains at Figueres-Vilafant.
