Two small earthquakes were registered in the southeast of the peninsular in the early hours of this morning, one in Mijas (Málaga province) and the other in Bullas (Murcia).
The first quake occurred at 06:37 with its epicentre between Bullas and La Paca. It measured 2.6 degrees on the Richter scale and apparently nobody in the area felt a thing.
The quake in Mijas occurred at 08:17 and was one of the largest recorded in the past ten days at 3.3 degrees on the Richter scale.
There are about 1,200 earthquakes each year in the peninsular of which no more than twenty are usually felt by the population.
