The El Romeral area of Alhaurín de la Torre is undergoing a major renovation as part of a €300,000 project co-funded by the local and provincial Councils.
The project envisages the replacement of all underground infrastructure in calles Alondra, Mirlo, Tucán and Cigüeña, in the area near the church and the school, as well of the installation of new paved areas.
In addition, there will be a new plaza in prolongación calle Cigüeña with street furniture being added as well as a viewpoint overlooking the arroyo Gragea.
Completion of the project is scheduled for next summer, although the Council hopes that this can be brought forward to March or April.
