The III Mercado del Queso Artesano de Cabra Malagueña (Goat Cheese Market) or Feria del Queso Artesano as it is also known takes place in Antequera on Saturday November 27th.
The market takes place in Plaza de San Francisco from 10:30 to 16:00 and around twenty local producers will be offering their wares.
The local goat cheese is high quality and is not to be found in supermarkets or hypermarkets.
The area produces around 1.5 million kilos of goat cheese each year, accounting for about half of the provincial total.
