The owner of a SuperM supermarket in Ecija has been arrested and the premises sealed after he was found to have been adjusting the sell-by dates on various products by as much as two years.
The local Council has asked residents to refrain from consuming products purchased at the supermarket.
The detainee faces charges of crimes against the public health and the falsification of labels.
