The Torrox sculptor Francisco Martín Molina has won the first prize in the VII Concurso de Arte Mariana Pineda held in Brussels, Belgium.
The competition is organised by the Federation of Andalucian Sociocultural Associations of the Benelux (FASAB) and the theme this year was Flamenco.
Francisco Martín Molina won the €1,000 first prize for his small sculpture in wood and aluminium representing a flamenco dancer.
The artist, along with fellow painters and sculptors Antonio Hidalgo, Antonio Valdés and José Casamayor, is currently exhibiting his work in Brussels.
