The Mayor of Nerja, José Alberto Armijo, has announced the start of administrative procedures for the construction of an underground car park at Burriana beach, which will be the fourth underground car park in the municipality.
The car park will have between 275 and 300 places and will cost around €3 million to build. It is hoped that financing for the project, once it has been through the endless administrative formalities and has been approved, will come from FOMIT, the State Fund for the Modernisation of Tourist Infrastructure.
After talks with the director general of Tourism and Planning from the Ministry of Tourism of the Junta de Andalucía, Antonio Muñoz, the Mayor is said to be optimistic about the project and the financing.
The car park will be located opposite the Burriana Apartments.
