The latest Official Gazette of the Government of Andalucia (BOJA) announces an agreement adopted by the Provincial Commission of Urban Planning in Málaga to give the green light to sectoring plans for the proposed Juvigolf complex in Vélez-Málaga under the General Urban Management Plan of the municipality.
This is the final administrative step to the planned tourism-residential project which will involve an investment of around 300 million euros.
The sectoring plan enables 1.7 million square metres of land in Chilches to be redefined as a single sector and will allow for the construction of a maximum of 1,534 homes, 460 of which will be VPO (subsidised).
The maximum permitted height for the houses is two storeys and no attic.
The Juvigolf project, which encourages private investment, includes the establishment of a resort, residential housing, sports and recreation facilities and an 18 hole golf course complete with social club.
The project also includes the assignment of 170,450 square metress for green areas. The idea is for the complex to be completed between 2020 and 2025.
