A siege on Saturday evening in Morón de la Frontera, Sevilla, has left two people dead, a man and his sister-in-law.
It all began in the afternoon when 47 year old I.R.E. went to his mother’s home in calle Gelves and barricaded himself in, taking his mother and his sister-in-law and her niece hostage. Shots were fired, but no-one was injured.
I.R.E. then released his mother and the baby, but kept his sister-in-law in the house. Police sealed off the area, even evacuating a local supermarket nearby.
At around 21:00, I.R.E. then allegedly shot his sister-in-law dead and then committed suicide.
The cause of the situation appears to have been a dispute over an inheritance.
