In Córdoba province, the heavy rains and flooding have so far resulted in nearly 400 calls to the Emergency Services and 75 roads in the province being affected.
In the capital, people and animals have had to be evacuated in the Guadalvalle, Majaneque, El Rosal del Rubio, Altea, La Forja, La Cigüeña, Alcolea and Fontanar de Quintos districts.
Homes have had to be evacuated in the urbanisations Pedro Díaz La Graja in Palma del Río and in the municipalities of Aguilar, Baena, Cabra, El Carpio, Espejo, Villa del Río, Villafranca de Córdoba and Posadas.
Two rail links, including the AVE to Madrid have had to be closed and the towns of Jauja and Valenzuela are without water after water pipes were damaged.
