Helmut Seifert, from Bielefeld, Germany, was a trifle upset when he found out that his 17-year-old daughter was having a relationship with Phillip Genscher, aged 57 years. He went to the police for help but was told that they were powerless to intervene in the matter, so he made his own plans.
He then recruited two work colleagues and set off to the house of the ‘too old’ Phillip Genscher to sort out the situation himself.
The three men forced Genscher to remove his trousers and then, while he was fully conscious, Seifert castrated him with a bread knife, taking away the severed testicles as a souvenir.
Genscher, close to bleeding to death, managed to call the police and his life was saved, although he will remain a eunuch for life.
Seifert pleaded guilty and is due to go on trial next year for attempted murder, although his accomplices have not been identified and are still at large.
Seifert apparently told the police that he saw his actions as ‘my duty as a father’.
