A total of 35 people, mostly members of the Cucu clan, have been arrested in the Las Vegas and Los Verdes areas of the Sevilla district known as ‘Tres Mil Viviendas’.
The police raids, coordinated by the UDYCO (Drugs and Organised Crime Unit), resulted in the seizure of three assault rifles, including a Kalashnikov, a rifle, five pistols and revolvers, six kilos of assorted ammunition, 300 grams of cocaine and €10,000 in cash.
It is thought that the loose drug network controlled by the clan nets them about €8,000 per day.
All the detainees are currently being held in custody and are due in court on Monday.
