A 40 year old British woman had to be rescued from the Rio Seco this afternoon after her SUV was swept downstream by the current following the heavy rains.
The woman was on her way to pick up her kids from school and got stuck as she crossed the usually dry riverbed.
The waters then swept the vehicle about 200 metres downstream and it came to rest near the Barranco del Puerto.
Two Civil Protection officers jumped into the river and rescued her, unharmed, from her vehicle.
