As from March 2011, there will be a boat link between Huelva and the Canary Islands for both passengers and cargo.
The ferry ‘Volcán del Teide’, built in Vigo, will begin weekly journeys to Tenerife and Gran Canaria carrying up to 1,660 passengers and with 2,800 linear metres of cargo space available.
The journey will take 28 hours. Despite the service not starting until March, the trips to Santa Cruz (Tenerife) and Las Palmas (Gran Canaria) already appear on the shipping company website.
