On Wednesday morning, the Mayor of Nerja, José Alberto Armijo, opened the Nerja-Frigiliana-Caves stand at the FITUR 2011 tourism fair in Madrid.
The Mayor of Nerja and the Mayor of Frigiliana also initialed the recently announced cultural and tourist cooperation agreement between the two towns under the slogan: ‘Nerja-Frigiliana, dos pueblos… un destino’.
The Councillor for Tourism also announced the intention to hold the Second International Flamenco Course at the Nerja Cultural Centre from July 11th to July 16th 2011. The classes, covering singing, dancing and guitar playing, will be taught by renowned and experienced teachers.
Other promotional material being offered by the Council includes the generic guide to the municipality, food guide, leisure guide, photo guide and a poster showing several photos of the town.
Several local businesses are also providing materials for the stand.
