Unemployment in Andalucia fell by 2,200 people during the last quarter of 2010, although over the year as a whole it rose by 93,400, an increase of 9.3% compared to 2009.
Unemployment in Andalucia currently stands at 1,127,400, which is 28.35% of the working population. Only the Canary Islands have higher unemployment at 28.96%.
Within Andalucia, Cádiz, Huelva and Málaga have the highest unemployment rates at 31.47%, 30.6% and 30.65% respectively.
