Last Monday saw the laying of the foundation stone for the new Health Centre in Torre de Benagalbón, with the Mayor, Encarnación Anaya, the government sub-delegate Hilario López Luna and the delegate for Health of the Junta de Andalucía, María Antigua Escalera, attending the official ceremony.
The €600,000 project, funded under the State Fund for Employment and Local Sustainability (FEESL), will employ around 35 people and the Helath Centre, once finished, will serve in the region of 7,500 local residents.
The new building will have two floors of 235 square metres each, up to six consultation rooms, a living room and library, waiting room, infirmary, toilets and changing rooms.
