The first fully loaded A400M cargo plane will take off from Sevilla next Tuesday, an event which will be attended by a number of European dignitaries.
The event will be attended by the Minister of Defence, Carmen Chacón, the president of the Junta de Andalucia, José Antonio Griñán, and representatives of the seven countries forming the Organisation for Joint Defence Cooperation (OCCAR).
The fifth A400M is scheduled to take to the air in mid-2011 and the aircraft will undergo around 3,700 hours of testing before the first deliveries are made in about two years time. The demand for the military A400M is expected to be around 500 units.
