All areas of the Sierra Nevada ski station are expected to be open and operational this coming weekend, with good powder snow up to five metres deep in places.
There should be 118 tracks open, a total length of 104.8 kilometres, with a minimum snow depth of 150 centimetres and 21 lifts of various types in operation.
There was a lot of snow recently and off-piste skiing is not recommended due to the risk of avalanches.
Taking place at the resort this weekend will be the third Alpine Skiing Trophy for Kids, organized by the Ski Club Caja Rural, with the slalom on Saturday and the giant slalom on Sunday.
The current weather forecast suggests slightly cloudy to clear skies with temperatures unchanged or possibly rising slightly, weak northerly winds in low areas and moderate winds in the middle and upper levels.
