On Thursday, Nerja was the location for one of the regular meetings of the municipal secretaries of the Axarquia, ostensibly to discuss local public municipal problems in general and those of secretaries, auditors and municipal treasures in particular.
The group discussed the challenges facing the municipalities with the introduction of the Local Government Act and also paid tribute to Juan García Hurtado, former general secretary of Benamocarra who recently retired.
The meeting was chaired by the President of the Association of Secretaries of Málaga, Domingo Gallego Alcalá, and those attending were from Rincon de la Victoria, Torrox, Frigiliana, Almáchar, El Borge, Competa, Sayalonga and Benamargosa.
