Legendary rock guitarist Gary Moore has died suddenly whilst on holiday in Spain. The 58-year-old guitar virtuoso, originally from Belfast, was found dead just hours after checking into the Kempinski Resort Hotel for the start of a six-day holiday.
Gary Moore played with Skid Row and Thin Lizzy and had a long and successful solo career with numerous top 40 hits, including the magnificent Parisienne Walkways, written by Phil Lynott, in 1979 and Out in the Fields in 1985.
He had only been at the hotel a few hours and had earlier been happily chatting to a fan who had recognised him.
R.I.P. Gary Moore.
