The Los Amarillos bus company and its employees have failed to reach an agreement after a meeting held at SERCLA, the reconciliation service, and a strike is now taking place in Jerez.
There is now only one bus operating on each line and the strike is set to continue until Friday February 18th.
The strike call was made after the two sides failed to agree and sign a new collective agreement.
The Council, however, says that all employees are currently paid up to date and that in any case, a new collective agreement cannot be signed until April when the definitive transport concession is awarded.
