The new medical facility (CHARE – Centro Hospitalario de Alta Resolución) in Alcalá la Real, Jaén, was inaugurated today by the president of the Junta de Andalucia, José Antonio Griñán.
Work on the CHARE began on November 30th 2006 and the 10,200 square metre facility will serve a population of around 30,000, including those from the municipalities of Castillo de Locubín and Frailes. It will save many people from having to make a trip to Granada or Jaén for treatment.
