Eleven people have been arrested in Madrid in connection with a prostitution network being controlled via the internet.
An investigation was started after the police received a complaint from a former employee of the network and simultaneous raids were carried out on four brothels in the capital.
The network was run from a block of flats where all activities were monitored via a series of computers, large TV screens and cameras located in the various brothels.
A blackboard was used to monitor the whereabouts of the prostitutes at all times and the cameras in the brothels allowed remote monitoring of proceedings.
Two members of the network, also living in the same block of flats, were responsible for collecting the proceeds from the brothels.
