According to the Council, work on restoring the aqueduct is progressing ‘satisfactorily’, with some of the scaffolding already having been removed.
The project was started on August 8th 2010 with a budget of €513,000 and a completion period of 13 months.
The latest show a budget of €537,758 and a completion period of nine months. The project had to be amended after the discovery of previously unknown texts and engravings on the monument.
The project has apparently created 13 jobs.
