Pure, organic and totally natural….these are the claims being made for a new ice cream now being served at a restaurant in Covent Garden, London.
The ice cream is made from breast milk, the first batch being churned with donations from London mother Victoria who believes there is nothing wrong in using her assets to gain a little extra cash.
The ice cream is called Baby Gaga and sells for £14 at the restaurant.
The founder of Icecreamists, Matt O’Connor, placed an advert appealing for breast milk donations and believes the recipe will be a success, stating:
If it’s good enough for our children, it’s good enough for the rest of us.
adding that no-one has done anything interesting with ice cream for one hundred years.
Mr O’Connor said 14 other women had come forward to offer their services. Health checks for the lactating women were the same used by hospitals to screen blood donors.
Will it catch on?
