The president of Málaga Council, Salvador Pendón, and the Mayor of Campillos, Jesús Galeote, have laid the foundation stone for the new Casa de Asociaciones, a multi-purpose centre which will cost €617.815,14 to build.
Campillos Council is providing €60,000 of the money, the Provincial Council is providing the rest. According to Salvador Pendón, the new infrastructure will ‘improve the quality of democracy’.
The new building, near the sports centre on the corner of avenida de la Candelaria and calle Gerardo Fernández, will be on two floors and covering an area of 600 square metres. The ground floor will have an auditorium with seating for 120 people, offices, storerooms and toilet facilities.
The first floor will have a distribution area leading to seven rooms. The garden area outside will be landscaped.
The completion period for this project has been set at six months.
