Barcelona are through in the Champions League after beating Arsenal 3-1 on the night, 4-3 on aggregate.
Arsenal were defending a slender 2-1 lead from the first leg and they held out until almost the end of the first half, despite a dominant passing display from Barcelona.
Messi opened the scoring and then Busquets slotted the ball into his own net to put Arsenal in the driving seat.
Arsenal then had van Persie ordered from the field for a second bookable offence and Barcelona took full advantage of the situation, Xavi putting the Catalans ahead once more and Messi grabbing his second of the night from the penalty spot.
