The strawberry season is about to start in Huelva province and is expected to provide between 70,000 and 80,000 jobs.
Priority will be given to the national workforce but there is reserve of 5,000 Moroccan workers who can be deployed if needed.
Various government working groups have been established to help improve planning and ease the burden of paperwork, and a ‘lodging map’ has been produced to make it easier for workers as they move from one agricultural crop to another throughout the country.
