David Villa was the hero of the day after Spain came from behind to beat the Czech Republic in their Euro 2012 qualifier in Granada, his two goals making him Spain’s record goalscorer.
Jaroslav Plasil gave the Czech Republic the lead just before the half-hour and it wasn’t until midway through the second half that Spain found the net when David Villa squeezed a low shot past the Czech keeper.
Soon afterwards, Villa added his second, from the penalty spot, and in 72 games for Spain has now scored 46 goals, two more than Raul.
