The new company Aguas de Archidona, a joint venture between the Municipal Council (52%) and Aqualia (48%), takes over control of the municipal water supply as from tomorrow, Friday.
The agreement is for 25 years with a canon of €576,000 paid to the municipal authority. The new company was incorporated on Frbruary 25th 2011.
Aguas de Archidona has made several improvements to the water system, including remote monitoring of installations, a ‘permalog’ system for detecting leaks and the renewal of valves to prevent problems in the event of power outages.
