Whereas Nerja now has a History Museum which is fully equipped but remains closed, Ronda will have an open museum but one which is empty.
The Museo Cofrade, which will serve as the headquarters for the Association of Fraternities and Brotherhoods of Ronda, was started in 2009 and expected to be ready in 2010. However, it wasn’t ready and 2011 was then given as the revised completion year.
As renovation of the building itself, the lower floor of the old Court House, has been finished, the Councillor for Tourism, Francisco Cañestro, has announced that the museum will open, despite having no content.
