On Thursday, the celebrations started in Andújar, Jaén, for the oldest pilgrimage (romeria) in Spain.
The official pregón (opening speech) takes place on Saturday and pilgrims from all over Spain will be gathering for the procession on Sunday to Cerro del Cabezo. Around 500,000 people from all over the country are expected to take part.
The celebrations are in honour of the Virgen de la Cabeza.
