The Junta de Andalucia is today expected to approve the Second Integrated Plan of Action for Persons with Disabilities in Andalucía 2011-2013, including new tax benefits for this group.
This new plan should also measures to facilitate adaptation of housing, improved educational provision and a number of initiatives in other areas aimed at preventing discrimination against this group and to promote their social integration.
In Andalucia there are 715,000 people with disabilities, representing 9.5% of the total population of the region and 61% of these are women.
