A judge has ordered a 50 year old resident of Linares, Jaén, to be detained in custody in connection with the sexual abuse of at least six minors.
The detainee, a devotee of flamenco, was arrested after a mother reported that her son had missed class and suggested that he could be with him. Police went to the man’s home where they found him with a minor, although not the one who had been reported missing.
A total of six boys between the ages of 13 and 15 years have so far admitted having sex with the detainee. The detainee would generally gain the trust of the minors, letting them use his computer to access the internet or watch DVD’s although on some occasions he had been known to pay some of the boys for sex.
Police are currently trying to establish whether there are more victims.
