A glorious day for the Romería de San Isidro (Saint Isidore) in Nerja, not too hot, and a splendid procession which, at one stage, stretched from the bottom of calle Pintada to the entrance of the Nerja Caves in Maro.
The procession began around midday but it wasn’t until nearly five o’clock in the afternoon that the stragglers arrived at the Nerja Caves to begin, or rather continue, the partying.
The procession was headed by the horsemen, followed by the ox carts, the horse drawn carriages and finally the highly decorated floats. Up at the Nerja Caves it was a vibrant atmosphere. San Isidro Photos
