A woman died this morning in a fire at her home in calle Cristóbal Colón, Pozoblanco, Córdoba province.
The fire was reported at 07:35 and appears to have been slow combustion, the woman dying from inhaling toxic fumes. The Emergency Services were unable to do anything for the woman, who was aged 40 years, except certify her death.
The Guardia Civil is carrying out an investigation into the causes of the blaze.
