The lifeless body of a British climber who disappeared during an avalanche in the Sierra Nevada mountains on February 20th has been found today by one of his companions who was with him on that fateful day.
The body was found at 08:30 on Wednesday morning in a ravine near the río San Juan by one of the companions of the victim who had maintained a regular search of the area along with members of the Mountain Rescue service.
With the melting of the snow yesterday and today, a boot became exposed and led to the discovery of the body which was then airlifted to the forensic institute for autopsy.
The deceased climber was 42 year old John H.T., a British national living in Zafarraya, Granada.
